We are continuing to celebrate Bread Week here at Ozark Natural Foods. Today we are cooking up a grilled sausage with Caramelized Onions, Peppers, and Spicy Mustard on Udi’s Gluten Free Hot Dog Buns!


4 Sausages of choice (we used Applegate Farms Andouille Sausage)

1 Yellow Onion, sliced thin

1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced thin

Coconut oil or Clarified butter

4 Udi’s Gluten Free Buns


Add about a tablespoon of your coconut oil or clarified butter to a skillet. Heat over medium high heat.

Once hot, add your onions and let cook for 5 minutes. Stir and add bell peppers.

Let cook for another 5 minutes and reduce heat to low.

In a skillet, add about 1/2 Tablespoon of butter or oil.

Add in your sausages and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side.

Warm your buns up in the oven with the setting on warm.

Add some mustard to each side of the inside of the bun, put the sausage in, and a little more mustard on top and top with your caramelized onions and peppers!
