Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

A zesty vegetarian alternative to an old game-day classic.

Ingredients

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

1 head organic cauliflower, cut into bite size pieces

3/4 cup Ozark Mountain Creamery whole milk or milk substitute

3/4 cup King Arthur Flour All Purpose Flour

1 tsp. Frontier Co-op garlic powder

1 tsp. Frontier Co-op paprika

1 tsp. kosher salt

1/2 tsp. Frontier Co-op pepper

1/2 cup homemade buffalo sauce

Homemade Buffalo Sauce

1/3 cup Crystal hot sauce or hot sauce of choice

1/4 cup Organic Valley unsalted butter or butter substitute

1 Tbsp. Spectrum white distilled vinegar

1 Tbsp. Billy Boykin honey

1/4 tsp. Annie’s Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp. Frontier Co-op garlic powder

Pinch Frontier Co-op cayenne

Salt to taste

Preparation

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl whisk together the milk, flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Step 3

Place the cauliflower into the bowl of batter and gently toss to coat.

Step 4

Spread the battered cauliflower out on the prepared pan.

Step 5

Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Step 6

Remove the cauliflower from the oven and brush on buffalo sauce.

Step 7

Return the cauliflower to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Step 8

Serve additional buffalo sauce with the wings.

Homemade Buffalo Sauce

Step 9

Combine all ingredients to a pot and place over medium heat. Bring to a simmer while stirring with a whisk. As soon as it begins to bubble on the sides remove from heat, stir, and it is ready to use!
